1. Who We Are
The North Texas IMPACT Network (“IMPACT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a nonprofit business networking organization based in North Texas. Our website is https://ntximpact.org. Questions about this policy may be directed to info@ntximpact.org.
2. Information We Collect
When you sign in to the IMPACT Member Portal using LinkedIn, we receive the following information from LinkedIn with your permission:
- Full name
- Email address
- Profile photo
- Professional headline and current position
- LinkedIn profile identifier
We also collect information you voluntarily provide when updating your member profile, such as your business name, phone number, and industry.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your IMPACT member profile
- Display your information in the member directory (visible to other members only)
- Send you information about upcoming meetings and IMPACT events
- Facilitate member-to-member referrals within the network
- Administer your membership and communicate with you about your account
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
4. Information Shared With Other Members
Your name, photo, professional headline, and business information in your member profile are visible to other authenticated IMPACT members through the member directory. This information is not publicly accessible to the general internet without logging in.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- LinkedIn — used for authentication via OpenID Connect. When you sign in with LinkedIn, you are subject to LinkedIn's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider, hosted on AWS infrastructure. Data is stored in the United States. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- DigitalOcean — our web hosting provider, with servers located in the United States.
6. Cookies and Sessions
We use secure, HTTP-only session cookies to keep you logged in to the member portal. These cookies are strictly necessary for authentication and are not used for advertising or tracking. They expire when your session ends or after a period of inactivity.
7. Data Retention
We retain your member profile information for as long as your membership is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate organizational records.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information in your member profile
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Revoke LinkedIn's permission to share data with IMPACT at any time via your LinkedIn account settings

9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session management, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
IMPACT is a professional business network intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
